The minutes in question were drawn up due to the violation of a rule specific to car parks in Toulouse. In this city, parking in paid spaces without putting a coin in the parking meter is indeed punishable by a fine of 30 euros. However, the amount claimed from the offenders was not 30 euros, but a penny.

The situation seems all the more absurd since two color sheets and two envelopes were sent by post to the persons to whom the minutes were addressed. In short, the treatment of the PV cost more than the fine itself. “Where is the ecology? »asked one of the motorists concerned.

A technical error

Several dozen people received tickets of one cent in Toulouse. The Midi Dispatch then ended up contacting the town hall, who explained that it was a mistake. The problem ? The transition to paid parking would have “caused a small technical difficulty for a short time in early August”.

As a result of this error, the post-parking packages (FPS) have been set at one cent instead of 30 euros. People who received their PV at a penny have therefore been subject to an error which will be resolved. A new PV, this one at 30 euros, will be sent to them.
