Hyundai Kona Electric: we finally know its price!

A few months after its reveal, the new Hyundai Kona Electric finally unveils its prices. And they are very salty.

Hyundai plans to step up its electric offensive over the next few years. Thus, the firm will deeply develop its zero-emission range, while it already offers several models, including the Ioniq 5 and 6, as well as its Kona Electric. The latter was unveiled a little earlier in the year, and is distinguished by a completely redesigned design compared to the previous generation. The lines are more futuristic, especially at the front, with its lights forming only a thin strip of LEDs. The rear has also changed a lot, as has the driving position, which has become even more technological.

A salty price

If the hybrid version has already been launched, the Korean firm is now revealing the price range of the electric variant. And be careful, because the latter is not really given. Indeed, the entry-level version starts from 40,850 euros, ecological bonus of 5,000 euros not deducted. A price that then climbs to 50,750 euros in the version Executive the highest end. Note that the SUV is available in two engines, with 48 and 65 kWh batteries for a power of 217 horsepower and a maximum range of 490 kilometers depending on the cycle WLTP. Figures in clear improvement compared to the old version.

A complete finish

If its price will not be within the reach of all budgets, the Hyundai Kona Electric is still quite well equipped. The latter is in fact delivered as standard from the entry-level version with hands-free access and starting, the 11 kW on-board charger, the autonomous emergency braking as well as the reversing camera and active lane following assistance. The touch screen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto is part of the staffing, as is the 12.3-inch digital handset. Enough to satisfy most drivers.
