His passage to all electric, our faithful reader Xavier B., from Pornic in the 44, didn’t wait until 2035 to do it. Since the summer of 2020, he is the owner of a Renault Zoe R110 bought new. Lasting almost 32 000 km, this city car gives him complete satisfaction. But the beginning of the year 2023 coincides, for our reader, with the onset of trouble.

At the beginning of January, a seer “Electrical failure” lights up on the dashboard and the Zoé refuses to drive. The assistance then sends a repairman and, thanks to a reset, Xavier manages to reach the garage Renault the closest. Which changes the service battery, relieving its client of €240 in the process, and the latter leaves with his vehicle.

Repeated twice

But the same symptoms appear a week later. So back to the garage, which will take fifteen days this time to deliver its diagnosis. As a result, the liquid used to cool the traction batteries is leaking! No more question of an express repair and for a few hundred euros. Indeed, the estimate presented to Xavier amounts to 5 904 €.

But the dealer has fulfilled his mission well by making a request for support from the manufacturer. Renault therefore agrees to pay 70% of this sum. It’s too little for Xavier, who asks that his file be re-examined. After two more weeks of delay, he is granted an additional 10% discount, leaving him €1,180 to pay.
