Mercedes-AMG GLC SUV 63 S: prices for the 680 hp version

After unveiling the 680-hp four-cylinder hybrid version of its best-selling SUV last month, the German firm is opening orders for the new Mercedes-AMG GLC SUV 63 S E Performance. In France, the model can now be ordered at starting prices from 138,351 euronot to mention the ecological penalty tax which amounts to 5,715 euros (170 g/km).

Mercedes-AMG GLC SUV 63 S: a four-cylinder hybrid under the hood

The Mercedes-AMG GLC SUV 63 SE Performance is the most powerful model in the Mercedes GLC SUV range: it receives the same engine as the Mercedes-AMG C 63 SE Performance, which abandons the 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 in benefit of a “small” 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbo (M139) which still develops 476 horsepower and 545 Nm of torque.

Thanks to a 6.1 kWh battery and a rear-mounted 204 horsepower electric motor, total power is 680 horsepower for no less than 1,020 Nm of torque, allowing you to go from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.5 seconds for a maximum speed of 275 km/h. The set is associated with a nine-speed automatic gearbox and 4Matic + all-wheel drive, while the range in 100% electric mode is displayed at just 12 km.

A special launch series Edition 1

To accompany the launch of the Mercedes-AMG GLC SUV 63 SE Performance, a special launch seriesbaptized Issue 1, will be offered for 1 year. For an additional charge of 19.000 eurosEdition 1 will notably offer the exterior colors Graphite Gray Magno or High-Tech Silver Magno, 21-inch AMG cross-spoke forged wheels painted in matt black, the AMG Aerodynamics Pack, the AMG Black Sport Pack or the Sport Pack Black AMG II.

Inside, there are AMG Performance seats covered in black Nappa leather, complete with yellow stitching and “Edition 1” logos on the front head restraints. The AMG Performance steering wheel is covered in a mix of Nappa leather and Dinamica microfiber, and features yellow decorative stitching. Door sills with an illuminated “AMG” monogram in yellow also complete this equipment.
