The French manufacturer Citroën simplifies its range in Europe, with now only 3 finishes, and 5 option packs to complete their endowment.
Citroën wishes to meet the expectations of customers and the sales network, aimed at making the offers more readable and clear: from the September 1, 2023the range of the French manufacturer will be greatly simplified, with only 3 trim levels per model, each of which can offer a maximum of 5 packs d’options by finish.
The 3 new trim levels will be named « You », « Plus » et « Max », replacing the “Live”, “Feel”, “Feel Pack”, “Shine” and “Shine Pack” versions of the current range of the chevron brand. Special series and other limited editions will always be there to animate Citroën’s offer: a new Ë-Series special series is also planned.
Even if the brand has not yet revealed the price and the details of each model, we will find for example on the Citroën C4 and C4 X a first level of finish You equipped as standard with comfort equipment such as suspensions with progressive hydraulic stops, the 10-inch touch screen multimedia system, and even rear parking sensors.
Finishing Plus will bring the Citroën Advanced Comfort seats, the reversing camera and 18-inch aluminum rims. Finally, the high-end version Max will add additional equipment such as hands-free access and starting, connected GPS navigation, head-up vision or even adaptive cruise control with the Stop & Go function, not to mention dark-tinted rear windows or 18-inch rims diamond thumbs.
In addition to this simpler offer, packs d’options will complete the endowment of each finish: there will be up to 5 packs per version, with body color remaining an independent choice. For example, still on C4 and C4 X, a pack for technophiles will include wireless charging, 360° vision for parking maneuvers and level 2 autonomous driving assistance with Highway Driver Assist, while a pack will bring together comfort features for winter use, with heated seats and steering wheel.
Reducing the diversity of the range will also make it possible to optimize production, facilitate inventory management and promote better cost control. Citroën thus promises, for the customer, contained prices and above all shorter delivery times. In the coming months, the new pricing policy will be rolled out, with, depending on the brand, “price at the fairest, more transparent, attractive, and identical according to the sales channels”.
