Ferrari Roma: a copy in the colors of France

Buying a Ferrari is already accessing an exclusive car. But for customers of the Italian firm who want even more distinction, the Ferrari Tailor Made program makes it possible to create a car that is truly unique in the world, thanks to advanced customization possibilities.

The builder with the prancing horse presented on his Facebook page an astonishing version of the Ferrari Romefitted with a blue livery and adorned with stripes on its bonnet, roof and boot, in the colors of the French flag ! This may seem surprising for an Italian car at first glance, but there is an explanation for this decoration…

Ferrari Roma: a unique tricolor livery

In detail, this Ferrari Roma features matt light blue body paint, contrasting with yellow brake calipers, which reference the yellow of the Ferrari emblem found on the front fenders, bonnet or again the central covers of the rims. We also find, on the front fenders, the number “4” painted in white.

But the most striking element is undoubtedly this tapered white stripe which extends from the hood to the trunk, passing through the roof: it is completed by blue and red ends, thus forming the tricolor flag in the colors of France.

This tricolor theme is also invited on board, with a specific seat upholstery in red Pelle Frau Cremisi leather for the driver’s seat, and in blue Pelle Frau Blu Notte leather for the passenger seat, complete with white edging on the sides of the center console, trimmed in wood. The final touch is on the rim of the steering wheel, with the French flag as a marker on the upper part.

Inspired by the Tour de France automobile

While it may be surprising to find the colors of the French flag on an Italian car, this decidedly unique Ferrari Roma is a tribute to the Tour de France automobile : a car event created in 1899, and whose modern descendant still exists today under the name of Tour Auto. In the years 1950 to 60, Ferrari imposed itself on many occasions in the Tour de France automobile.

For the rest, this Ferrari Roma is equipped with the original 3.9-litre twin-turbo V8 engine, associated with the 8-speed DCT gearbox, and developing a trifle of 620 horsepower and 760 Nm of torque to the rear wheels. This cavalry can go from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.4 seconds, for a maximum speed of 320 km/h.

The Italian manufacturer did not specify the price of this Ferrari Roma personalized in the colors of the French flag, but it is a safe bet that this Tailor Made realization required an additional budget compared to the approximately 198,205 € requested for a production Roma. …
