Cupra DarkRebel: a 100% electric shooting brake in Munich

At the 2023 Munich Motor Show, the Spanish manufacturer is unveiling the Cupra DarkRebel, a 100% electric shooting brake concept car with a sporty style.

A few months ago, Cupra unveiled its project Cupra DarkRebelon the sidelines of the presentation of the Cupra Tavascan, with an online configurator allowing you to personalize your virtual copy of the model.

In total, more than 270 000 configurations were made by fans of the brand, including Cupra ambassadors such as FC Barcelona players Alexia Putellas, Marc ter Stegen, Ansu Fati and actor Daniel Brühl.

Cupra DarkRebel: from virtual to real

The Spanish firm was then inspired by these achievements to create a physical copy of the Cupra DarkRebelwhich is revealed at Munich Motor Show 2023 in the form of an exclusive showcar.

The model is a sporty shooting wagon two-seater, with an aggressive style, which foreshadows the stylistic orientation of the brand’s future models, which we should see land in the next few years.

Sustainable materials

Stretching over some 4.5 meters long, 2.2 meters wide and 1.3 meters high, the Cupra DarkRebel concept car is equipped with a “liquid mercury” paint, rims in a futuristic and sporty style , luminous acronyms, as well as a triangular luminous signature: the Cupra logo is broken down into three triangles, which are then used as daytime running lights.

The cockpit offers a raw and sporty atmosphere, with two enveloping bucket seats, and a dashboard with taut lines which embeds a vast panoramic screen, not to mention an instrumentation screen placed in front of the driver. Cupra emphasizes sustainable materials used, such as 90% biodegradable bamboo.

However, no information was disclosed as to the 100% electric motorization of the model. The Cupra DarkRebel showcar is to be discovered at the Munich show, which opens its doors from September 5 to 10, 2023.
