He misses his jump and falls 15 meters high at the wheel of a Lada Niva

A Russian stuntman wanted to make a spectacular jump between two buildings at the wheel of a Lada Niva. But he missed his stunt.

Being a stuntman is far from being an always secure activity. A video recently posted on social networks by Evheny Chebotarev, a Russian stuntman, underlines it well. Driving a Lada Nivaa car produced since the 1970s in Russia, he rushed on a springboard to make a particularly dangerous jump.

As this video shows, Evheny Chebotarev prepared a ramp on the roof of a building which ends with a springboard. The objective seems completely crazy: jump with the Lada Niva above the void to land on another building located opposite the one on which the springboard was installed.

A serious accident during a stunt in Lada Niva

However, Evheny Chebotarev did not succeed in his bet. He rushed at full speed on the springboard and the car took off in the air. But, she crashed into the wall of the building the stuntman had planned to land on. Result: the Lada fell from a height of about fifteen meters… with the driver still inside.

Clearly, the stuntman and his team did a calculation error of size. The Lada Niva was either too heavy or too slow (or both) to achieve such a spectacular leap. At the time, the stunt team probably thought he was no longer alive. Or, at the very least, that he was going to get away with serious injuries.

Particularly dangerous stunts

The Lada Niva is crushed below the building. The fall of course did not leave him unscathed. The vehicle is indeed completely destroyed. However, the motorist driving it suffered only minor injuries. On the video, it is possible to see him getting out of the Lada without any real difficulty.

In reality, the driver still had to go to the hospital after this accident. It’s also not the first time he’s been involved in such dangerous stunts. According to Carscoopshe was seriously injured two years earlier while trying to jump from a car over a river.
