Infiniti QX Monograph Concept: like this, the future QX80?

The premium Japanese manufacturer unveils the Infiniti QX Monograph Concept, a style study that prefigures the brand’s future models.

Infiniti tells us more about its future styling direction, with the presentation of theInfiniti QX Monograph Concepta large SUV that could well prefigure the next generation QX80.

“We approach every Infiniti design from the perspective of a work of art, aiming to evoke emotion and intrigue”said Alfonso Albaisa, Senior Vice President of Global Design at Infiniti: “The QX Monograph presented us with a canvas of considerable size to explore Infiniti’s artistry at maximum scale and create something daring. »

Infiniti QX Monograph Concept: a boldly styled SUV

The Infiniti QX Monograph Concept is distinguished by its new prominent grille with oblique vertical slats, which supports a strip of daytime running lights, integrated under the bonnet over the entire width of the bow. The main headlamps are located at the lower level, on either side of the front bumper, thus creating a two-level light signature. We also find on this front face the new brand logo3D treatment and illuminated.

The flanks are very sleek, with flush door handles and sculpted wheel arches, not to mention air intakes on the front fenders, located under the line of the hood. At the rear, there is an imposing trunk which is marked by a wide strip carrying the rear lights, over the entire width of the car. The alloy wheels are massive, and their turbine style is inspired, according to Infiniti, by a wind turbine.

A futuristic light signature

The luminous signature, front and rear, is enriched with animation sequences when opening or locking the car, to bring a futuristic effect and suggest the idea of movement. On approach, the side steps also project a welcome light around the car.

The QX Monograph also features a panoramic glass roof, which is embellished with a large “kimono pleat” pattern. The set is coated with a special paint called “Akane”, inspired by the sunset, and made up of six layers for more depth.

Even if the Japanese manufacturer has not announced a marketing date for a possible production version of this QX Monograph Concept, it’s a safe bet that the future generation of theInfiniti QX80 hits the market by 2025.
