Peugeot lowers the prices of its 3008 and 5008!

While the presentation of the new 3008 is imminent, Peugeot is setting up discounts on the current generation of its bestseller, as well as on its big brother, the 5008. Objective: to counteract falling sales against the Renault Austral.

It’s a bestseller that floods our French roads and European since 2016: the Peugeot 3008 second generation. Elected car of the year 2017, it allowed Peugeot to finally ride on the success of family crossovers – which generate margins – and to return to the race after gloomy years (2010-2015). Above all, its success was almost overwhelming in the face of French competition : the Renault Kadjar has never managed to reach the figures of its rival. But with the arrival of the Arkana, and more recently of the Austral and Espace, its renewal would be welcome. It is imminent, since Peugeot will present the third 3008 of the name, next Tuesday September 12live from Munich.

A serious upgrade

Stronger and sharper, this new version will also adopt a more cut profile than the current one. It will incorporate Peugeot’s latest stylistic trends, in particular its logo and its multi-claw headlights. The dashboard i-Cockpit, already unveiled, is completely new and much more “techno” than before. Technically, it will be based on an unprecedented platform from the Stellantis group, the STLA Medium. A base that will allow it to inherit a 100% electric version, called e-3008. Peugeot is already talking about a range of up to 700 kilometers. Objective : hit head-on the new electric Scénic, just revealed, also in Munich. Its big brother Peugeot 5008 will follow in a few months, for a scheduled arrival in dealerships in 2024.

Price drop for the 3008/5008 duo

But until then, the current 3008/5008 duo is not dead, and we must continue to make it live! Sales of the 3008 are down in the first half (-13%), but at the same time those of the 5008 are up 24%! Before their scheduled end of life, and faced with the Austral threat, Peugeot is now reviewing its prices downwards. Point of change for the Active Pack finish (3008 and 5008), but a reduction of 550€ (100€ more for the 5008) for the Allure Pack which makes it start (excluding discounts) at €37,620. Same story for the “sporty chic” finish GT, displayed at €40,020, down €200. Welcome boosts for those still tempted by this model at the end of their career, but still at the level.
