Their truck breaks down, elephants steal its cargo!

While they were changing the wheel of their truck, these drivers saw elephants eating the oranges from their trailer.

The scene takes place in South Africa. two men are broke down with their truck carrying tons of oranges. While they were trying to repair their vehicle, elephants came to help themselves in their cargo. The video went around the world and social networks.

A truck synonymous with a feast for elephants

Filmed by the camera of a passerby, this herd of pachyderms seemed to enjoy the meal of many oranges, served in the trailer. Terminated and far too busy changing the wheel, the two men do nothing to stop the animals. You should know that this is currently the dry season in the Kruger Park area, where these images were shot. Foliage is now almost non-existent and these elephants, which eat around 400 kilos a day, on average, are struggling to feed themselves. This truck that came out of nowhere is therefore a real bargain for them.

A viral video

Unfortunately for these animals, the stoppage of this truck didn’t really last long. Just enough to have a little snack for these pachyderms, which suffer horribly from the drought. Since the loss of earnings for carriers will not be really significant, these images may make you smile. This is also the case on social networkswhere netizens shared their reactions:

« For once it’s the animal that flies and not the man! » or “The elephants must have thought it was a party today! » or ‘At least they are lucky that no one hurts them!’

And you, what would you have done? Would you prevent elephants from feeding on your shipment? Know that pachyderms are responsible for the death of 600 men on average per year. But as for those, they seemed pretty harmless! As long as you don’t get in them and the truck full of freshly picked oranges!
