Citroën C5 X Hypnos: a new limited series

To complete the C5 X range, Citroën presents the Citroen C5 X Hypnosa special limited series whose name refers to the Greek god of sleep, Hypnos: the model is designed to be comfortable and relaxing, so that each journey becomes a moment of relaxation and relaxation.

This name also pays homage to the Citroën Hypnos concept car, unveiled at the 2008 Paris Motor Show: a top-of-the-range hybrid sedan, which foreshadowed the first-generation DS 5.

Citroën C5 X Hypnos: a high-end livery

The Citroën C5 X Hypnos stands out for sa Exclusive Eclipse Blue body color, but is also available with the more classic Gray Platinum. This elegant shade contrasts with red “Infrared” graphic elements, as for example on the shiny black decorative strip located on each side, at the level of the wing and the front door, and including a Hypnos logo. At the rear, the C5 X monogram also receives an Infrared red background. Rounding out the exterior styling are 19-inch AeroX alloy wheels, featuring an all-new Diamond Onyx Black color with a dark clear finish.

Inside, there is a unique light-coloured leather upholstery, fitted with micro-perforations forming the Citroën chevron pattern, and combined with elements in dark gray Alcantara at the top, not to mention an Infrared red label signed Hypnos. The door trims, central armrest and central console are clad in light TEP to match the seats, and there are karuun inserts on the dashboard, a light wood-style rattan veneer. The trim of the central console is decorated in shiny black, on which there are laser engravings in “Bronze Xenon” color, while the mats are specific and signed Hypnos.

A plug-in hybrid engine

Under the hood, we find the 225 horsepower plug-in hybrid engine, mated to the ë-EAT8 automatic gearbox. The Citroën Advanced Comfort active controlled suspension is also offered as standard, as well as the Citroën Advanced Comfort seats: enough to take care of passenger comfort.

On the base of the high-end Max finishthe C5 X Hypnos provides additional comfort equipment such as the glass sunroof, the HiFi system, and even the heated, massaging and ventilated front seats with electric lumbar adjustments.

Orders for the Citroën C5 X Hypnos are already open, since September 4, 2023, at price of 58.400 €. The first customer deliveries are expected for the beginning of 2024.
