Renault Grand Kangoo: a 7-seater version of the MPV

At the 2023 Munich Motor Show, the diamond firm lifts the veil on the Renault Grand Kangoo, a new 7-seater version of its famous MPV.

Produced in more than 4.4 million units and sold in 50 countries around the world, the Renault Kangoo has been winning over families and professionals for 25 years.

The third generation of the MPV, launched in 2021, is now enriched with a new elongated version, equipped with 7 independent and modular seats: the Renault Grand Kangoopresented at the 2023 Munich Motor Show.

Renault Grand Kangoo: more space on board

For its Grand Kangoo, Renault promises the best interior space in its class, with 3 seats in the second row and 2 seats in the third, allowing you to comfortably accommodate up to 7 adults. Access to rank 3 is facilitated by the two sliding doors 83 cm, 18 cm wider compared to a conventional Kangoo, as well as a low door sill and retractable row 2 seats, which make it easier for passengers to board and alight.

Of course, children will also be welcomed in complete safety, with the possibility of installing a car seat using Isofix attachments. Modularity is exemplary, with up to 1,024 seat configurations possible: it is possible to slide, fold, retract or even remove each of the rear seats. The front passenger seat is also folding, in order to reach up to 3.11 meters loading length in total.

At the rear, there is a 500-litre trunk in a 7-seater configuration, which can reach up to 3,750 liters with the rear seats removed and the front passenger seat folded down. As standard, the Grand Kangoo comes with a large glazed tailgate, but it is also possible to opt for the two rear hinged and glazed doors, which facilitate daily use.

Thermal and electric engines

Under the bonnet of the Grand Kangoo, two thermal engines will be offered: the 130 horsepower TCe petrol unitfitted with a 6-speed manual transmission or a 7-speed EDC automatic transmission, as well as the 95 horsepower dCi diesel enginefitted with a 6-speed manual transmission.

A 100% electric version will also be there, with the Grand Kangoo E-Tech Electric : this one has a motorization of 122 horsepower and 245 Nm of torque, as well as a 45 kWh battery offering up to 265 km range en cycle WLTP.

Orders for the Renault Grand Kangoo will be open to end of year 2023at prices to be announced later by Renault, while the first deliveries are expected for the beginning of 2024. Until then, the model is on display to the public at the Munich Motor Show, which opens its doors. from September 5 to 10, 2023.
