The price of E85 continues to soar!

Less expensive than unleaded, E85 has nevertheless experienced a very sharp rise in prices in recent months.

And for good reason, the price of fuel has soared everywhere in France, while it has fallen considerably in all the other countries of the European Union. This does not seem to bother the government, while the latter refuses to put in place any financial assistance for drivers. A rising price

Result, the price of unleaded soared in all service stations in France, as well as diesel. A situation that worries drivers, who sometimes have to reduce their professional and personal trips in order to be able to refuel. Especially since prices have particularly increased since the beginning of the summer, due to the drop in production and rising demand. The SP95 took over 16 cents in just two months. But that’s not all, because another fuel is suffering the brunt of the incredible inflation, to the detriment of motorists. This is E85.

A real outbreak

Indeed, superethanol, acclaimed by motorists for its very attractive price at the pump, has also risen sharply in recent months. At present, the liter is exchanged for 1.02 euro, compared to just 0.80 euros around a year ago. In two years, this fuel has increased by 40%, against “only” 20% for gasoline and diesel. Same story for LPG, the price of which has also risen a lot in recent years. But drivers remain loyal to these alternatives, which are always more interesting than standard fuels.
