This rare Californian supercar develops no less than 1,350 horsepower

An American supercar straight from Los Angeles has just been presented. According to its manufacturer, it displays an incredible speed.

Czingera Californian company, has just unveiled its new supercar model, the 21C Blackbird Edition. Behind its futuristic design, it hides impressive features. It develops no less than 1,350 horsepower for an announced maximum speed of more than 400 km/h.

These performances are all the more incredible since Czinger is not one of the most prominent supercar manufacturers, such as Ferrari, Lamborghini or Pagani. Moreover, its 21C Blackbird Edition will only be produced up to 80 copies. The price is mind-blowing, even for a supercar. According to MotorTrendit is sold for 2.6 million euros.

A supercar built as a tribute to a famous American military aircraft

The Czinger 21C Blackbird Edition is not a supercar like the others. It actually pays homage to a famous military aircraft American: Lockheed’s SR-71 Blackbird. This spy plane was used by the United States until the 1990s, when it gave way to reconnaissance satellites.

Like its model, the Czinger 21C Blackbird Edition aims to be a true beast in terms of performance. The design also borrows in part from the military aircraft. The paint is jet black. The wheels feature a reproduction of the SR-71. The exhaust pipes have also been made to resemble those of a jet plane. As for the bodywork, it is made of carbon fiber.

Particularly high performances announced

The design of the 21C Blackbird Edition is obviously not Czinger’s only extensive work on his supercar. The carbon fiber body hides a 2.9-liter twin-turbo V8 engine coupled to two electric motors. In terms of speed, the manufacturer announces that its supercar can go from 0 to 400 km/h in just 27 seconds.

No test has been carried out in public to verify whether these performances are real or not. But if these figures were true, the 21C Blackbird Edition would break the world record ofacceleration from 0 to 400 km/h. It would be one second faster than the current record holder, the Koenigsegg Regera, which clocked 28.81 seconds.
