Muc022: this car has the greatest autonomy in the world!

A new record of the world has been established! It is on the fringes of IAA mobility show that students of la Technical University of Munich presented the “Muc022”.

This car completed a complete journey with autonomy totally crazy, beating previous record of almost 1,000 kilometers.

More than 2,000 kilometers of autonomy

Students de la Technical University of Munich donc developed a car named la “Muc022”.

It’s about of a vehicle having been optimized to have the best Aero Dynamics possible. In total, the car achieved: 2,573 kilometers in a single charge. The old record was 1,608 kilometers.

To achieve this feat, the car was lightened and equipped with a battery with the capacity: 15,5 kWh.

As a reminder, the Munich students had already established another record : that of the electric car which consumes the least.

in 2016their creation consumed 0,81 kWh/100 km. A record also broken by la Muc022.

Giving impetus to the mobility of the future

On the scale, la Muc022 only 170 kilogramswhich is extremely low and we understand the record a little better. Under the hoodthe engine offers a power of 400 watts.

This record was welcomed by the Minister of State for Science and the Arts, Markus Blume: “I am very proud of our great university, which demands and encourages a pioneering mindset.”

Thanks to what a recordthe minister hopes that this will give a moose to mobility of the future cleaner.

As for the vehicle holding the new recordhe will tour Europe in order to meet the different actors of automobile industry.
