SUV: here are the star models of 2024!

It is no longer a surprise to say that SUVs dominate sales, and now the manufacturers’ catalogs. Sedan, coupe, convertible, minivan: most of our traditional and historic categories have disappeared. They have been replaced by their SUV equivalent. This year, new products have multiplied from French manufacturers. Espace, Rafale and Scénic at Renault, 2008 restyled and new 3008 at Peugeot. A fever that will continue to spread for the year 2024… So what are the new features for 2023 in this category? Here are the next releases!

Alfa Romeo Brenner

His name has not yet been confirmed, but Alfa Romeo’s next model will be a 100% electric urban crossover. Technical cousin of Jeep Avenger et Fiat 600^e, it will benefit from the synergies of Stellantis for the technical aspect. We can therefore expect it to have the same 156 horsepower engine, and the same 40 kWh battery. Enough to last nearly 400 kilometers in a single charge…

Audi Q6 e-tron

Just presented in Munich, the new Audi Q6 e-tron will arrive in the catalog next year. It will slot into the range between the Q4 and Q8 e-tron, and will subsequently offer a Sportback coupe variant like its brothers in arms. Established on the news PPE electric platform (Porsche Premium Platform), it could accept the fast charging up to 270 kWexpediting the recharge time to 80% in 25 minutes, for theoretical autonomy up to 600 km.

Dacia Duster

Dacia’s best-seller will be renewed in one third generation who will embody the new stylistic codes of the brand. More athletic, more square, as introduced by the Bigster concept, it will be still available in 4X4 all-wheel drive. Diesel will not be renewed, while a hybrid version will arrive in the range.

Peugeot 3008

Among French manufacturers, it is the bestseller 3008 which will make its revolution. It will take up Peugeot’s new stylistic language, as introduced on the recent 308 and 408. Her sharper and more aggressive style will camouflage Stellantis’ new STLA Medium platform, which will be able to accommodate electric versions. Diesel will be eliminated, with replacement of plug-in hybrid engines up to 300 horsepower. The electric range announced by Peugeot is 700 kilometers!

Renault Scenic

The Scenic as we knew it in the form of a compact minivan disappeared in 2022. Its replacement (presented in Munich) changes everything, starting with its transformation into a SUV familial. He adopts a much more sporty and futuristic style than the Scénic name that we knew. It will initially take over the engine of the Mégane E-Tech, from 170 or 220 horsepowerand announces a range of 630 kilometers !

Toyota CH-R

Toyota’s crossover coupe, the CH-R, got a whole new generation a few months ago. This will arrive on the market during the year 2024. It will still offer hybrid variants of 140 or 198 horsepower, and will introduce a new plug-in hybrid variant with 223 horsepower.

Volkswagen Tiguan

Finally, at Volkswagen, the Tiguan will also give way to the new. The next generation will adopt a softer style, as initiated with the 100% electric ID range. Based on an evolution of the MQB platform, this base will allow it to accommodate new hybrid versions. The new Evo2 1.5 TSi blocks will be introduced, and will notably allow operate on E85.
