It has been more than a year since the price of fuel increased sharply, notably due to the war in Ukraine. But since the start of summer, the increase has been particularly strong, with prices now exceeding the threshold. two euros per liter at many gas stations. And this obviously has an impact on motorists, who must tighten their belts more than ever and reduce their trips, even professional ones. A difficult situation, which does not seem to affect the government. The latter in fact refuses to put his hand in his pocket to help the French.

A new operation

Instead, he prefers to ask distributors to cut back on their margins, when these are only 1 to 3% on average. But some still agreed to play the game, in the face of pressure from the State. This is for example the case of TotalEnergies, but also of Intermarché. The company is indeed launching its operation “ fuel at cost“, like Leclerc. The concept is simple: the brand sells gasoline and diesel by agreeing not to collect its margin. But how can you take advantage of this little boost? We’ll explain it to you.

Once a month

You will not have to do anything, since the discount will already be deducted from the price displayed on the totem. Please note that this operation will take place once a month until the end of the year, i.e. September 29 and 30, October 27 and 28, November 24 and 25 and December 15 and 16. The last “fuel at cost” operation took place the weekend before the start of the school year, on September 2 and 3, marking the start of this series of solidarity initiatives.
