New Fiat 600e: production begins in Poland

The Italian manufacturer has started production of the new Fiat 600e in Poland, at its Tychy factory which also produces the Fiat and Abarth 500.

A few days ago, September 7, 2023, the first production copy of the new Fiat 600e came out of the chains ofStellantis factory in Tychy, Poland. Production began two months after the official presentation of the new Italian electric SUV, which took place in Turin on July 4.

This first Fiat 600e produced on the assembly lines of the group’s Polish factory is a La Prima version, a high-end finish dressed in the launch color “Orange Sun of Italy”.

Fiat 600e: more than 600 km of autonomy in the city

The new Fiat 600e is a 100% electric SUV from the B segment, which is a new generation of the iconic model, which focuses on its joyful and refined character. Her 100% electric motorization of 156 horsepower is associated with a 54 kWh batterywhich has a range of more than 400 km in the WLTP mixed cycle, and more than 600 km in the urban cycle, all with a range of state-of-the-art safety equipment.

For its launch, two 100% electric versions are offered: the Fiat 600e La Prima, as well as the Fiat 600e RED. Orders were opened this summer, at prices starting from €35,900. A micro hybrid engine should join the catalog of the new model, with a 1.2 liter 48V hybrid of 136 horsepower, which also equips other models of the Franco-Italian group, such as the Peugeot 3008.

Tychy: the Polish factory with more than 10 million vehicles

Inaugurated in 1975, the Stellantis factory in Tychy will soon celebrate its 50th anniversary. She began her production activities for the brand Fiat, including Cinquecento, Uno, Seicento and other Pandas. Different models were produced there, such as the Lancia Ypsilon, the Ford Ka II, or the famous Fiat and Abarth 500. Today, three teams of employees number more than 2,000 people in total.

Today, the Polish factory produces the Jeep Avenger, Fiat 500 and Fiat Panda, as well as the new Fiat 600, with a new optimized production system, called “Stellantis Production Way”, which optimizes production in all areas of activity, including quality and energy efficiency. In December 2022, the Tychy factory had no less than 10.8 million vehicles produced since 1975.
