Lyon Motor Show 2023: Mitsubishi will present the new Colt there

The Mitsubishi Colt is a must-have for the Japanese manufacturer: since 1978, the city car has sold more than 1.2 million units in six generations. For this seventh generation, the three-diamond brand relied on the Renault Nissan Mitsubishi Alliance, and created a twin of the latest restyled Renault Clio. This new Mitsubishi Colt will be previewed to the general public at Lyon showwhich will open its doors on September 28, 2023.

Mitsubishi Colt: a preview at the 2023 Lyon Motor Show

The presentation of this 7th generation of the Mitsubishi Colt announces the marketing of the model, which will begin in the month of November 2023. At its launch, two types of engines will be available: gasoline and hybrid.

Under the hood, we find a 3-cylinder 1.0 liter MPI petrol engine with 65 horsepowercoupled to a 5-speed manual gearbox, or even a 1.0 liter MPI-T turbocharged, 90 horsepower and associated with a 6-speed manual gearbox. There HEV hybrid powertrain has a combined power of 145 horsepowerand combines a 1.6 liter petrol engine with two electric motors and a 1.2 kWh batteryall coupled to a multi-mode automatic transmission.

What’s new at the Mitsubishi stand

The new Mitsubishi Colt will not be the only representative on the Mitsubishi stand at the 2023 Lyon Motor Show: in fact, we will also find the Mitsubishi Space Stara city car powered by a 3-cylinder petrol engine, economical to purchase (from €15,990) and to use (4.9 liters/100 km), the Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross PHEVa 4-wheel drive plug-in hybrid compact SUV, which benefits until December 31, 2023 from an exceptional commercial offer (free VAT), as well as the new Mitsubishi ASXan urban SUV sister to the Renault Captur launched in March 2023, and marketed from €24,990 with petrol, micro-hybrid, hybrid and plug-in hybrid engines.

The Lyon motor show will open its doors for 5 days, from September 28 to October 2, 2023, at Eurexpo Lyon. This year, five worlds will be highlighted during the event: new vehicles, used vehicles, eco-mobility, motorsport, but also services and accessories.
