Citroën My Ami Pop: New Look for the Small Electric Car

The Citroën My Ami Pop, a popular small electric city car, has been updated with a new, more assertive design while still being offered at a price starting from €29.99/month.

Originally launched in April 2020, the modern Citroën Ami has achieved significant success, with over 43,000 units sold in 12 different countries. 80% of its customers opt for a personalized version. To enhance its fun and assertive look, the French manufacturer has updated the Citroën My Ami Pop version with a slightly deeper restyling. “With this new front, we wanted to make the new My Ami Pop remarkable and identifiable by everyone, even at 100 meters. With its rear spoiler, My Ami Pop already sports a distinctive sporty silhouette. Bringing new colors and graphics, these styling attributes reinforced Ami’s energetic character while echoing the responsive and dynamic driving of electric mode,” specifies Antoine Gaillot-Drevon, Exterior Designer at Citroën.

Citroën My Ami Pop: New Look for the Pop Version

The Citroën My Ami Pop is characterized by a distinctive style, including 4 wheel covers, a black graphic strip under the windshield, a black bumper reinforcement at the front and rear, a rear spoiler, as well as rear quarter and lower door stickers. The new version is adorned with a vibrant “Infrared” red theme, replacing the orange theme of the initial version.

Among the new features are new headlight bezels at the front, which give it a more graphic and assertive look. In profile, new stickers adorn the door capsules, bearing the yellow and white number “2”, symbolizing the model’s 2 seats, accompanied by a stylized circle and chevron. At the rear quarter panel, the three-line sticker is now replaced by a red, half-filled, mesh circle.

Inside, some new features include a driving mode selector (RND) located on the center console, for improved ergonomics, alongside the USB socket, the warning button, and the heating controls. This new driving selector in the center console will also be included in all other versions of the Ami from the first quarter of 2024.

Several accessories facilitate everyday life, such as a smartphone clip, door nets, a central separation net, and the Dat@mi connectivity box allowing access to car data on a smartphone. The My Ami Play interface also allows transforming a smartphone into a dashboard, with navigation, music, radio functions, and telephone calls, controllable using the Citroën Switch button placed on the steering wheel.

From €8,890 or €29.99/month in LLD

The new version of the Citroën My Ami Pop is already available to order, at the unchanged price of €8,890 in cash, or from €29.99/month for long-term rental, for a 48-month LLD contract with an initial contribution of €3,950. Different LLD offers are available with variable monthly payments and initial rent to accommodate various budgets.

Deliveries of the new version of the Citroën My Ami Pop are expected in the first quarter of 2024, and the model is available in the 12 markets where the Ami is offered. The model will also soon be launched for sale in Denmark, Slovenia, and Bulgaria.
