For this, Polestar is counting on its new technology to take the advantage over its competitors.

The brand was in fact associated to StoreDot to develop a new technology rechargeable proposer a “extremely fast charging” called XFC.

The objective of this technology is to be able to offer a refill of 160 kilometers in only 5 minutes.

StoreDot also have announcement that XFC technology could be integrated to the designs batteries and manufacturing processes already existing.

The society claims that its goal of recharging 160 kilometers in only five minutes can be achieved with a charger existing 350 kW.

Moreover, this refill will be possible via a car offering efficiency similar to that of the future Polestar 5.

A demonstration of this technology was even organized during the recent Polestar Day has The Angels.

On his sidethe Polestar 5 should arrive for the year 2025. It plans to compete with the Tesla Model S and Porsche Taycan.

This car will be equipped with two electric motors. They will be able to deploy, in total, more than 800 horsepower et 900 Nm of torque.
