The Zebrance insurance service, which offers automobile-related services, has been revealed to be a scam despite its significant visibility on social networks and in sponsored content in several media outlets.
If you closely follow the news, you may not have missed the recent information revealed around Zebrance insurance.
For several weeks, Zebrance, presenting itself as a “digital insurance, at the service of human beings”, has increased its presence in various media. However, a warning was issued by the Prudential Control and Resolution Authority (ACPR) last Friday, qualifying Zebrance “scam” and advising victims to file a complaint quickly.
The ACPR stressed that Zebrance was not approved and did not have authorization to carry out security operations assurance directly in France. The contracts issued by this company were declared as ” no value “.
The apparent absence of advisors, the telephone number directing to the website to subscribe to competitive rates, and vague indications of its location (supposedly based in Dover in the United States) fueled suspicions.
The risk posed by Zebrance is particularly worrying, because the company issues fake green cards thereby misleading consumers.
In addition to taking money, the consequences can obviously be complicated in the event of an accident, because customers are not really insured. To make matters worse, personal data transmitted to Zebrance could be used for fraudulent purposes.
Given the fact that this is a scam, you cannot break a contract strictly speaking since it has no legal value.
Faced with this scam, consumers are called to be vigilant, and for those who have unfortunately subscribed to Zebrance “services”, the ACPR encourages you to react take out insurance from an approved company in the European Economic Area and file a complaint quickly against Zebrance.
