Google Maps and Waze are the most popular, with Waze currently boasting over 140 million users worldwide. It’s a success story for the company, which was founded in Israel in 2008 and acquired by Google in 2013, becoming essential for many drivers.
FLASH QUESTION: Which star’s voice would you like us to use to guide you on the road? (If there are a lot of you who say the same thing, we might launch a feat).

Waze offers practical features like indicating tolls, fuel, level crossings, and real-time road conditions. In the coming months, the app will also indicate dangerous roads to its users.
According to Google, the alerts for dangerous roads take into account current traffic conditions, day of the week, time of day, and latest accident reports. The app relies on user-generated alerts, so it’s important to report accidents. Waze does not differentiate between major or minor accidents when indicating dangerous roads.
