The Italian manufacturer unveiled the first limited edition of its supercar: the Maserati MC20 Notte will be produced in only 50 examples.
The Maserati MC20 Night is the very first limited edition of the MC20, a supercar combining sportiness and luxury, intended to tread the asphalt of the track as well as the road. This exclusive series was designed by the teams at Maserati Fuoriserie, the advanced customization department of the trident brand, and will be produced in only 50 units worldwide. According to the Italian firm, its design is inspired by the “mystical and intense power of darkness”.
“Fuoriserie means ‘bespoke’ in Italian, and our Trident customization program is designed to create rolling sculptures unique to our customers. MC20 Notte celebrates the thrill of racing and the allure of the night by combining supreme performance and Italian elegance with a touch of mystery from the nightlife world. This is the first Fuoriserie limited edition of the MC20, dedicated to super sports car collectors and circuit enthusiasts”declared Klaus Busse, Head of Design at Maserati, on this occasion.
The Maserati MC20 Notte is inspired by the world of motor racing: to create it, the team of Maserati Fuoriserie collaborated with Andrea Bertolini, Maserati’s chief test driver and former GT1 world champion, to develop the bodywork for the MC20 Notte.
Its bodywork was fitted with a matte paint magnetic “nero essenza”, contrasting with matte white gold details such as the Trident emblem located on the front grille, the side “MC20” logos, the central cover of the rims, as well as the Maserati signature on the sides, in homage to the successes of the Italian brand in motorsport. The model is completed by 20-inch matte black rims in the shape of a birdcage, featuring a contrasting touch of matte white gold, while the brake calipers are painted black.
Inside, the MC20 Notte features 6-way electrically adjustable sports seats trimmed in black/gray Alcantara, all enhanced with yellow stitching. The famous Maserati Trident logo is affixed to the headrests, while the Alcantara sports steering wheel has carbon fiber inserts. To complete the exclusivity of this special series, an exclusive metal plate “Maserati Fuoriserie Notte” bears the words “Una di 50” (“one out of 50”) and is applied between the two seats.
Under the hood, we find the Nettuno V6 engine of 3.0 liters, developing 630 horsepower and 730 Nm of torque, all associated with an eight-speed dual-clutch gearbox. Enough to go from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.9 seconds, 0 to 200 km/h in 8.8 seconds, all for a top speed of 325 km/h!
To support the launch of the Maserati MC20 Notte Edition, the Modena firm called on its global ambassador David Beckham to produce a film around the MC20 Notte accompanied by Andrea Bertolini: the MC20 is transformed into a new racing beast igniting in the night, and through the city and the racing circuits.
The Maserati MC20 Notte is now available worldwide, at a price which has not been revealed by the Italian firm. Maserati Tridente members were able to access it in advance, and all future owners of this exclusive model will be invited by Maserati for a track driving session behind the wheel of the latest Trident supercar.
