In 2016 in Geneva, the Japanese car manufacturer Toyota unveiled the Toyota C-HR, opening the way for many others in the compact SUV segment. The C-HR has undergone a restyling in 2019 and is now in its second generation. The new C-HR is equipped with a “new” 200 hp simple hybrid engine, offering standard engine approval. It performs well in both city and small road conditions, but the continuously variable automatic gearbox has a tendency to get carried away. Toyota promises a fuel consumption of around 5L/100 km for this hybrid version. The new C-HR also shines in comfort, with a new shock absorber system and improved habitability in terms of trunk volume. The armada of driving aids and the new model’s price, which starts at €34,900, round out its offerings. This test was conducted in Ibiza, where Toyota invited users to take the wheel of the new C-HR.
