Two hunters were taken into police custody in Dordogne after a motorist was shot in his passenger seat.

The images are chilling. A motorist was shot by a hunter in his passenger seat while he was driving quietly. The shot came from a beaten with wild boars, carried out on October 22. According to the mayor of La Chapelle-Aubareil, “It could have been dramatic”.

In reality, the bullet first pierced the body of the vehicle, through the trunk, before ending its journey in the seat. An investigation was opened to “endangering the lives of others by a deliberate breach of an obligation of prudence or safety”.

Difficult to explain how the ball arrived on the vehicle or whether the rules were respected. The Périgueux public prosecutor’s office took up the matter. The latter was made public on Facebook. A photo of the car that suffered the impact of a bullet was posted by the partner of the vehicle owner, who explains: “No injuries or deaths, but within a few centimeters of the shooting angle, the driver passed through. ”

The investigation is progressing and it seems that the hunter, aged around sixty, has fired after the car passed on the road. It was at the side of the road, near the famous commune of Chapelle-Aubareil. The investigators wanted to question the driver, his companion and the mayor of the town, who participated in the hunt with other hunters.
