Zeekr 007: the electric sedan from the Geely group is revealed!

The Zeekr brand, which belongs to the Chinese group Geely, already includes the Zeekr 001 station wagon in its range, as well as the Zeekr X compact crossover. The Chinese manufacturer has recently been present in Europe, and will soon arrive in France in 2024.

Here is a new model which may well also be exported to our regions: the Zeekr 007 a 100% electric mid-size sedan that takes on the Tesla Model 3. It is already available to order in China.

Zeekr 007: a 100% electric sedan

The Zeekr 007 is 4.87 meters long, 1.90 meters wide and 1.45 meters high, all for a wheelbase of 2.93 meters and a trunk volume of 462 liters. The aluminum bodywork displays particularly clean lines, so much so that the car does not even have no door handles! The front is distinguished by its projectors Zeekr Stargate equipped with no less than 1,711 LEDs and fully customizable.

Inside, the atmosphere is also refined and highlights technology, with a vast 15 inch touch screen placed in the center of the dashboard, which allows interaction with the on-board multimedia system equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295 architecture, and connected to a rich audio system with 21 speakers.

There is also a digital instrument cluster, supplemented by an augmented reality head-up display. An Nvidia Drive Orin chip makes it possible to manage autonomous driving features thanks to the help of a LiDAR, 12 HD cameras, five millimeter wave radars, as well as 12 ultrasonic radars.

Up to 870 km of autonomy

Technically, the Zeekr 007 is based on the PMA2+ platform, developed by Geely and its subsidiary Volvo, and which derives from the SEA platform previously used by Zeekr or Volvo models. Her architecture 800 volts allows it to be recharged quickly, and it takes barely 15 minutes to go from 10 to 80% of its battery capacity.

At the entry level, the engine of 422 horsepower is associated with a rear transmission, and allows you to go from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.4 seconds. A more powerful version of 646 horsepower is coupled to all-wheel drive and swallows the 0 to 100 km/h in 2.84 seconds. Two battery capacities are offered, allowing autonomy of 688 to 870 kilometers according to the rather ambitious Chinese CLTC cycle.

Pre-sales for the Zeekr 007 have already started in China, at a price starting from 229,900 yuan, the equivalent of around 29,300 euros. The first deliveries are expected for the month of January 2024. Even if no information has yet been officially confirmed, we should see this new arrival very quickly. Zeekr 007 and Europe.
