The Duster renews itself!

After 13 years of career and already two generations (2010 & 2017), the third version of the Romanian SUV is revealed. The flagship model of Dacia is getting a makeover, and is also evolving on a technical level. With almost 2.2 million copies passed in a sixty country, the Duster has acquired a very important status for the low-cost manufacturer. The model has also become the most sold SUV to individuals since 2018 on the Old Continent. Here is all the information about the 3rd generation of Duster !

The Duster now adopts straighter lines and gains in presence. If you liked the muscular and futuristic design of the concept Bigster presented in 2021, you will love this new Duster! Dacia is harmonizing its range, and its flagship SUV will be a smaller version of its big brother, the Bigster. The latter, with its 4.60 meters long, will rub shoulders with the C segment (Peugeot 5008, Renault Espace, etc.) in 2025. The Duster now adopts straighter lines and gains in presence. The more vertical and modern design almost makes us forget where it comes from. Originally, the 2010 Romanian SUV still had the physique of a low-cost vehicle. Today, this new generation is now blending into the mass of compact SUVs in the superior standing.

The protections around the car are made of Starkle®, the new recycled plastic material. The Duster recovers the platform CMF-B from home Renault, also used by the Clio V, the latest Sandero and the Jogger. This chassis is excellent news: approval, the comfort but also acoustics will progress. In terms of dimensions, the Romanian SUV has changed very little. The Duster III does 4,34 m de long pour 1.66m tall et 1.81 m wide. Staying on the same size is a logical decision for Dacia, which does not wish to overshadow its future Bigster.

The interior further gains in perceived quality and ergonomics. Dacia even tells us that its in-house operating system, designed under Android OS, is one of the fastest interfaces in the entire automotive market. The hardware is fast enough to handle the minimalist interface and offer lightning-fast latency times. Another change, a new one 7 inch digital dashboard, a first on the Duster. This screen will also be accessible from the 2nd finishing level.

Two sockets USB-C are accessible on the lower part and finally the gear knob is taken from the old Duster, too bad. With 30 liters of storage space on board, Dacia does not skimp on the practical side. The Duster remains a vehicle designed for daily and utilitarian use.

Roominess is good and two adults can still fit comfortably in the rear seat. The rear passengers are correctly installed in this new Duster. Thanks to the CMF-B platform we gains in habitability without having increased dimensions. And this is felt in the rear seats with knee roomto the head but also in width.
