The new Dodge Charger seen in a Christmas ad

The American manufacturer has revealed a preview of the future generation of the Dodge Charger, with an illustration appearing in a Christmas advertisement.

Dodge takes advantage of its latest Christmas advert to give us a glimpse of the new generation of Dodge Charger, which makes its first official appearance in the form of an illustration. The visual of the car appears very briefly in this spot called “Think Twice” (Think twice), in a book called “Santa’s Naughty List” (Santa’s naughty list).

We discover a new generation Dodge Charger in red, which is reminiscent of the Dodge Charger Daytona SRT concept unveiled last year. Dodge seems to want to take inspiration from the first opus launched in 1966 already, with a sculpted front face, hood bumps as well as muscular lines which extend towards the rear of the vehicle.

Dodge Charger : adieu le V8 !

Compared to the Daytona SRT concept, however, there are some differences, such as the more classic round headlights, instead of the light border of the electric concept car. There are also larger side mirrors, a less aggressive front bumper, as well as a sculpted hood. The rear still remains a mystery, and we do not yet know if the model will be a two-door coupe, or a four-door sedan.

Dodge has not revealed more information about its future sports model, but we already know that it will no longer have a V8 engine. Indeed, we should find under its hood the new Stellantis Hurricane inline six-cylinder engine which develops from 400 to 500 horsepower depending on the version. A version with a 100% electric motorization should also be on the program.

See you at the end of 2024

For lovers of muscle cars, the future Dodge Charger should also offer even more powerful versions, probably adorned with the badge SRT ou Hellcat… But no information on this subject has filtered out yet.

In the Dodge video, the American manufacturer specifies that the model presented in the illustration is still in the pre-production stage. The future production Dodge Charger will be launched by end of year 2024. It should therefore be revealed in its entirety in the coming months.
