Dacia will have to face fierce competition

While its sales are at the peak, Dacia will have to deal with increasingly strong competition from its rivals.

A few years ago, Dacia wasn’t really on the rise, at least not as much as it is now. And for good reason, the manufacturer suffered from a rather unflattering image.

A great success

Indeed, the low-cost firm was considered very cheap, offering fairly average services and it did not necessarily have very great seduction capital. This, however, did not prevent him from having many followers, as evidenced by the success of the large Dacia picnic, organized every year and bringing together hundreds of participants. But things have changed a lot over the years. Although the event no longer exists, the brand has never been in such good shape. And even though its prices have increased, they are still among the most accessible on the market, while the cost of new cars has generally risen sharply over time, due to inflation. A crazy success, which Louis Schweitzer, CEO of the Renault Group would probably not have thought of when he launched the Logan in Western Europe in the 2000s. But the result is there.

Strong competition

However, the low-cost firm must face growing competition, while all manufacturers now seem to be inspired by it, which was not the case until now. But now the success of the brand seems to give ideas to its rivals, who now all want to launch into its segment. We think, for example, of MG, which should scare the Romanian firm with its discounted electric cars. What to hunt on the lands of the Dacia Spring, but not only. Moreover, Hyundai also wants to soon launch an electric city car of the same ilk, not to mention the many Chinese brands with great ambitions. Suffice to say that Dacia will have to work harder to hope to stay in the race and face growing competition. Because the market is becoming more and more competitive over the years, and it’s far from over…
