The American manufacturer Fisker confirms that a new, even more efficient Pear is currently in the works.

Over the years, more and more new manufacturers are trying their luck in an increasingly competitive market. Among them, many Chinese brands, but not only that. Because we also think of Fisker, an American firm founded in 2016 by Henrik Fisker.

A new version

The latter notably made a name for itself by launching its Ocean, a large electric SUV which hunts directly on the lands of Tesla and more particularly its Model Y. But if the latter is slowly starting to be marketed on European soil, the company does not intend to settle for just one model in its catalog. This is how she also lifted the veil a few months earlier on her Pear. The latter takes the form of a 100% electric compact SUV, which will notably compete with the Peugeot e-3008, the Volkswagen ID.4 as well as the Renault Scénic. And now we are learning new information about this new arrival, which will soon be available in a new, much sportier version. This news comes to us from British journalists from the Autocar site, who seem to be quite well informed on the subject. But then, what should we expect with this new variant currently in preparation? Don’t panic, we’ll explain everything to you!

Even sportier

For the moment, the manufacturer has not yet revealed the technical characteristics of this new version, which should see the light of day by next year. In any case, we know that the SUV will be able to achieve 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.8 seconds in its standard version, a figure which will be revised downwards with this more dynamic version. The latter should carry the Extreme suffix but we do not yet know which battery it will use among the two that will be available in the range. For the record, the classic Pear should display a range of between 320 or 560 kilometers depending on the WLTP cycle. The electric SUV will start from 29,900 dollars, which is approximately equivalent to 27,473 euros according to the current exchange rate. The more efficient version should far exceed this price. Pear prototypes are expected to hit the road later this year, before the first customer cars are delivered at the “very end” of 2025.
