The BMW M4 is once again making waves with this restyling

BMW has just unveiled the updated 4 Series range, including new features for the sportiest model, the renowned M4.

We discussed this earlier in the week, with BMW presenting the restyled version of its 4 Series. This naturally includes the well-known M4, the German sports coupe famous for its inline six-cylinder engine.

The BMW M4 and M4 Cabriolet have also gone through the restyling process and have received an increase in horsepower.

Aesthetic and Technological Enhancements for the BMW M4

The BMW M4 Competition Coupé with M xDrive and BMW M4 Competition Convertible with M xDrive have undergone significant exterior modifications, including a new light signature for the front headlights, laser rear lights, and 19 and 20 inch M forged light alloy wheels with a unique design. An M Carbon exterior pack, specific to the model, has been added as an option. This pack includes inserts for the front air intakes, a rear diffuser, exterior mirror caps, and a carbon fiber rear spoiler. BMW also offers an optional M Race Track pack to reduce the vehicle’s weight by 25 kilograms. This pack includes M Carbon ceramic brakes, M Carbon carbon fiber bucket seats, and carbon fiber interior trim in a glossy finish.
Inside, the BMW M4 M Coupé and Convertible receive a new M multifunction leather steering wheel, specific interior trim, and electronically adjustable M Sport seats. It is worth noting the introduction of a curved screen and the BMW Operating System 8.5 infotainment system. The system is based on a digital dashboard with a 12.3-inch screen behind the steering wheel and a 14.9-inch touchscreen.

The Propulsion Version is Removed from the Catalog

Under the hood, the BMW M4 has gained an additional 20 horsepower compared to the previous version, bringing it to 530 hp and 650 Nm of torque. The engine remains the same, a 3.0-liter twin-turbo straight-six. Unfortunately for purists, the manual gearbox is still unavailable in France, and the propulsion version has been removed from the catalog. Only the M xDrive version is now available. In terms of performance, the BMW M4 Competition can reach 100 km/h in just 3.5 seconds (3.7 seconds for the Cabriolet) and has a top speed of 250 km/h, or 280 km/h with an optional upgrade. The new BMW M4 Coupé and Cabriolet are available from March. The coupe starts at €121,000, while the Cabriolet version will be priced from €127,700.

This is in addition to the €60,000 penalty in force in France.
