To date, 11 French cities have authorized motorists to drive in their ZFE with a classic car. Other exemptions are under study.

ZFEs and collector vehicles

On the occasion of the Rétromobile 2024 show, Classic Expert, a BCA Expertise brand dedicated to collector’s vehicles, has just published its 8th Collector’s Vehicle Barometer: in addition to the collector’s models most popular with enthusiasts, the Barometer is also interested in current topics that concern vintage car enthusiasts, such as Low Emission Zones (ZFE).

Of the exemptions However, they are being put in place to authorize the latter to continue to circulate there.

ZFE: where can you drive a classic car?

The French Federation of Vintage Vehicles (FFVE) played a key role in the defending the rights of drivers of classic cars, working to preserve automobile heritage while protecting our right to drive a classic vehicle.
Classic Expert also reveals that 10 other French cities plan to grant exemptions of circulation for collector vehicles in their ZFE: these are Arras, Toulon, Grand Annecy, Grand Nancy, Lille, La Rochelle, Fort de France, Plaine Commune, Clermont Ferrand, as well as Grand Paris, which is about to announce its waiver.
