Is this the new Fiat Panda?

Fiat will unveil the next generation of the Panda on the occasion of its 125th anniversary.

The compact embraces electrification thanks to a new platform. The images suggest a modern design inspired by the Centoventi concept. Production will take place in Serbia, with marketing expected at the end of 2024 or beginning of 2025, at a price estimated at less than 25,000 euros.

Electric first

July 11, 2024 will remain engraved in the annals of Fiat, proudly marking its 125th anniversary with the long-awaited unveiling of the new generation of the Panda. This major event also signifies the upcoming retirement of the current generation, paving the way for a new and promising era.
Tireless investigators recently had a taste of this metamorphosis thanks to photos filed by Stellantis, the parent company of Fiat, with the patent filing authorities. These images awaken the imagination of scoop hunters, laying the foundations for the next heir to the Turin compact.
Underpinned by the Smart Car platformalready at work in the very recent Citroën C3 and its electric version ë-C3, the new Fiat Panda promises to have compact dimensions, oscillating around 4,015 mm in length, 1,815 mm in width and 1,577 mm in height.
Following in the footsteps of its French cousin, the Panda could be equipped with a 113 hp electric engine, accompanied by a 44 kWh battery, boosting its range to around 300 km. A 100 kW fast recharge would allow you to regain 20% to 80% capacity in just half an hour. It is also rumored that thermal variants will soon be available.

Pretty close to the concept

Aesthetically, the clean and resolutely modern lines seem to salute the Centoventi concept, unveiled at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show, thus outlining the contours of the new generation of the Panda. The front displays a “closed” grille, revealing, unsurprisingly, an electric motor, while the thermal variant could inherit vertical openings, a nod to the design of the first generation Panda.
The enhanced appearance and general proportions suggest technical links with the Citroën C3, while retaining the essence of previous generations of the Panda, forgoing distinctive features such as the third side window or the vertically oriented light clusters. Thus, the new Panda, while honoring its heritage, projects resolutely towards the future of mobility. As for production, the Kragujevac factory in Serbia, heir to Zastava’s industrial past, is designated as the birthplace of the new Panda. Commercialization should take off at the end of the year, or even at the beginning of 2025.

As for the prices, everything suggests that the entry ticket will be set at less than 25,000 eurosbut of course, an official confirmation is still awaited.
