New Ford Puma: Ford’s best-seller gets a makeover

Ford’s compact SUV, the Puma, has been restyled and now features a completely redesigned interior. Here’s everything you need to know about the new changes.

The Ford Puma is the top-selling model for the American brand in Europe. In 2023, it ranked in the top 20 best-selling vehicles in France with 23,253 registrations. Following the recent restyling of its big brother, the Kuga, the Puma is now getting its own update. This update comes before the introduction of the 100% electric Puma, expected to debut in 2024.

Staying true to the Ford recipe

Ford has kept the exterior of the Puma familiar, maintaining its quirky compact SUV style that has contributed to its success. The front and rear lights have a new signature design, and the highest trim levels will offer “Dynamic Matrix LED” front lights. The new Puma will be available in six colors and can be equipped with alloy wheels ranging from 17 to 19 inches depending on the version.

Interior Changes

The interior of the new Puma features a large 12-inch central screen with 5G connectivity, as well as a new customizable digital dashboard. The infotainment system integrates air conditioning and seat heating controls. The vehicle also includes a smartphone storage space with induction charging, and an optional 10-speaker Bang & Olufsen audio system.

Technological Advancements

The new Puma is equipped with driving assistance systems including intelligent lane keeping assistant, adaptive cruise control, and a 360° camera. It also offers reverse braking assistance to avoid collisions. Pricing for the new Puma starts at €27,490 for the Titanium version and €38,290 for the sporty ST version. The vehicle will enter production in April 2024.
