Mobilize PowerBox is an intelligent, connected, secure and bidirectional charging station, which is manufactured in France in Maine-et-Loire.

A charging station made in France

The group Renault and its partners in the Software République innovation ecosystem (Orange, STMicroelectronics and Thales) announce the industrial launch of Mobilize PowerBoxa intelligent charging station produced in France, in the Symbiose electronics factory in Lacroix, located in Beaupréau-en-Mauges in Maine-et-Loire. The initial production capacity of this new production line is 65,000 units per year.
Mobilize PowerBox is a charging station that adapts to all electrical installations, whether single-phase or three-phase. Versatile, it can be installed indoors or outdoors, on a wall or on a stand. She benefits from a dynamic energy management systemwhich allows the charging power to be modulated by adapting to the power available on the electrical network: thus, it avoids any disconnection within its users’ homes.
The Mobilize PowerBox terminal operates on alternating current, and delivers a charging power of up to 22 kW, depending on the electrical installation and the load capacity of the vehicle. This system is compatible with all electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles, equipped with a Type 2 socket.

Mobilize PowerBox: four versions for all needs

This new terminal from Mobilize adapts to the different needs of individuals and professionals, with four versions :
The version One is aimed at individuals looking for a simple and secure home charging solution, while the version Uno Plus is intended for businesses and condominiums, with an RFID card reader to identify the user. The version One Pro concerns solutions accessible to the public or installed among a company’s employees: with its RFID reader and its MID (Measurement Instruments Directive) meter, it allows the re-invoicing of electricity consumed, to simplify the reimbursement of employees’ professional expenses.
Finally, the version Verso is equipped with the two-way charging, which allows you to both recharge your vehicle and send electricity back to the home network and the public network. It allows significant savings to be made, while ensuring intelligent energy management. This version will be available for the launch of the new 100% electric Renault 5.

The Mobilize PowerBox charging station will soon be marketed in the Renault network, for all electric vehicles from the French group’s brands.
