Chrysler Halcyon Concept: a glimpse of the brand’s 100% electric future

The American manufacturer unveils the Chrysler Halcyon Concept, a 100% electric sedan which gives clues about the future of the brand and its stylistic direction.

A futuristic and aerodynamic concept

In 2025, Chrysler will launch its first 100% electric vehicle, and is moving towards a 100% electric range by 2028, like the other brands in the Stellantis group. To give us an idea of its future models, the American manufacturer has just revealed the Chrysler Halcyon Concept a 100% electric and autonomous sedan with a resolutely futuristic look, and which emphasizes sustainable development and technology.
“The Chrysler Halcyon concept creates a level of serenity that fully represents the Halcyon name. The Halcyon showcases innovative and sustainable mobility solutions that integrate technology and deliver value to customers while delivering ‘Harmony in Motion’” declared on this occasion Chris Feuell, CEO of the Chrysler brand at Stellantis: “The Chrysler Halcyon Concept brings an all-electric future to life with new technology suites from Stellantis that integrate with simple, pure aerodynamic design and a seamless, connected and immersive cockpit experience. »
After the Portal and Airflow concept cars, Chrysler is now going further with this new style study based on the STLA Large platform, an evolution of Alfa Romeo’s Giorgio platform designed for electrified vehicles. On the outside, its lines are distinguished by very refined shapes, optimized for aerodynamics. There is a horizontal light signature as well as the new winged and illuminated Chrysler logo, at the front and at the rear. A sliding active aerodynamic diffuser helps improve efficiency and driving dynamics at all times.

Chrysler Halcyon Concept: a concentrate of Stellantis technologies

The four antagonistically opening doors allow you to discover the interior of the Chrysler Halcyon Concept, with a very refined presentation and equipped with 95% sustainable materials. There we find a large 15.6 inch touch screen in the center of the cockpit, retractable and pivoting in portrait or landscape orientation, supplemented by a augmented reality head-up display, projected onto the windshield. In autonomous driving, the steering wheel and pedals retract to free up space on board for relaxation.
On the technology side, the Chrysler Halcyon concept is based on Stellantis software platforms: STLA Brain, STLA SmartCockpit and STLA AutoDrive, which promise a harmonious user experience. In particular, it is possible to interact by voice with a virtual assistant, equipped withartificial intelligence but also to connect the vehicle to other connected devices or home automation platforms.
To access the car, there is no need for a key since the facial recognition allows you to recognize users authorized to unlock and start the vehicle. The model is equipped with features of level 4 autonomous driving which allows the driver to relax by watching a film or playing video games, while delegating driving.

No more precise technical information on the Chrysler Halcyon Concept has been revealed, but it has a Li-S batteries (lithium-soufre) de 800 V which can be automatically recharged by induction, simply by driving on roads specially equipped for this.
